FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)– On September 11, people such as Fayetteville High School’s wrestling team climbed 100 flights of stairs at Razorback Stadium in remembrance of the September 11, 2001 attacks, when four planes were hijacked by terrorists, including two that crashed into the Twin Towers.
“It’s just a time to reflect with the kids, and you know, I mean, it’s hard getting up at four a.m. and getting out here, and walking the stairs,” said Chase Petty, head wrestling coach of Fayetteville High School.
Elijah Dobing, cadet battalion executive officer with U of A ROTC, said he noticed a larger turnout than last year.
“It is such a good feeling to see people out here, uh, remembering those who came before us, remembering those who were a victim of this attack,” said Dobing.
