FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)— The University of Arkansas is launching the next steps in its new plan, “150 Forward: Reaching Higher.”

The plan is meant to help the university grow and improve in several ways over the next six years. The plan’s three pillars are student success, research excellence, and employer of choice.

The five major goals established in order to execute the pillars are increasing graduation rates, increasing research spending, enrolling more graduate students, increasing hands-on learning for undergraduates, and increasing education on AI.

The kickoff event took place on August 24th at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center on campus. At the event, university and plan leaders discussed the goals for “150 Forward: Reaching Higher” and how they want to execute it.

This plan is about more than just the University of Arkansas. The university wants its growth to have a greater impact across the state by strengthening Arkansas’s workforce and economy.

The university has created a new Transformation Management Office to help organize these goals and make sure that the plans are being carried out.
