FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) — The Office for Sustainability will host “Cruise to Campus” for the entire U of A community.
The event takes place October 11th from eight to ten in the morning, and starts on the Old Main lawn.
Caroline Cheek, a student devoted to sustainability, said, “the event is designed to get students, faculty and staff more engaged with biking on campus.”
The Office of Sustainability and Cheek want to encourage the campus community to choose other forms of transportation as a means to commute other than driving.
Cheek said she notices the culture of driving around the university. She said using the trails is a way to commute other than a car while also creating a healthy routine.
“One of our biggest goals is to just get more people involved in a lifestyle that’s really good for the body but also really good for the environment,” said Cheek.
The Cruise to Campus event is free to everyone and includes Onyx Coffee and breakfast for those who join.
