FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)- A local rock and roll band, Ted Hammig and the Campaign is growing their fan-base as they prepare to play in Austin Oct. 16th, at “The Ballroom at Spiderhouse ”at 6:30p.m.

“I’m actually excited to see the city,” said Ted Hammig, Lead Singer. “We’re there when Austin City Limits is there, so that’ll be in full swing. It’s always so interesting to play for a new group of people and we’re playing with some really great bands. I’m excited to meet them and play with them. I think it’d be a fun time.”

Through the help of Hammig, the band came together in early 2020.  Andrew Ruegsegger  plays drums, Freeman Boatright is on keyboard, David Moneymaker  plays bass, and the role of lead guitarist is occupied by Ben Hobbs, who joined the band in October of 2021. With Hobbs coming from Kansas, he is eager to go down south.

“It’s kind of cool to be able to experience a new state and new city and get to be with like other bands that are in that area as well,” said Hobbs.

Beyond Austin, the boys have shows planned in the next coming months in Lawrence and Kansas City, Kansas. Although graduation is approaching, Hammig hopes the band will stick together.

“I’m going to keep playing no matter what but I don’t want to play with anybody else but these guys because they’re fantastic. I think the plan is for everybody to just stick around for the long haul.”
