FAYETTEVILE, Ark. (UATV)- The American Red Cross partnered with Associated Student Government (ASG) to host a blood drive.
Usually, a singular blood drive occurs each year in the spring, however, this fall semester they have decided to put on another blood drive.
Due to the national blood shortage, Gary Jackson, blood drive coordinator for the Associated Student Government, said “this gives us a great chance to give students the power to be able to help others, and we are grateful to have individuals come in and make that sacrifice.”
Jackson believes that the more events they host the more opportunities they will have to give students chances to help the community.
Cael Losenegger, who attended the blood drive on September 19th, participated in the donation.
Losenegger said, “you are able to donate, help save three lives, and do it with other members of the Razorback community.” He believes it also a great opportunity to help out the community if you are healthy and able.
While the fall blood drive ended at 4p.m. be on the lookout for more opportunities to give blood in the spring.
