Silent Yoga at Mount Sequoyah

By: Kristin Kite

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – Mishiah Yoga’s silent yoga plans to meet Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Mount Sequoyah 150 N Skyline Dr. Fayetteville for a relaxed, silent new approach to yoga.

Mishiah envisions their events to be relaxing the mind while moving the body. Euphonia students practice wearing RF (radio frequency) headphones to foster focus and flow as the cues and playlist broadcast into students’ ears. Excess and distracting noise is canceled – creating and encapsulating the individual experience.

Mishiah Yoga says it is similar to silent disco, but with yoga instead of dancing. At a silent disco, one would wear headphones and create an individual experience still including a group of people. Silent yoga is taking this same approach with other fellow community members.

Two ticket options are available including: General Admission and Karma Pricing. Karma pricing is reserved for those who serve in the community such as: Teachers, active military, veterans, nurses, social workers, fitness instructors, wellness professionals, service industry, et.al

Mishiah Yoga also advises bringing mats, water bottles, comfortable clothing, a towel, and perhaps a warm blanket based on the weather.
