FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – One bar in Fayetteville celebrates its 70th anniversary during the month of March. Maxine’s Tap Room, located in the square on Block Ave., started back in 1950 by Maxine Miller.
The eclectic bar in Fayetteville is now owned by Hannah Withers and Ben Gitchel who took it over in 2013. The bar will have a variety of events in honor of celebration starting with the collaboration with Crochetitville. March is National Crochet month so the creative, colorful yarn masterpiece will be up all month long.
“We started in November and immodestly started working on this project because we wanted to show our appreciation not only to the bar but to our group,” Connie Evans, member of Crochetitville said.
The Taproom will have a celebration on March 18th with live music from Dana Louise, Adam Collins, and more. The bar will give customers a special offer of $2 Bud Light Pitchers with the first 70 guests receiving a commemorative glass.
