FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- This year the University of Arkansas Recreation department is holding a month long fitness competition. “Fitober” is a competition that students can sign up for and try to walk or run a total of 50 miles throughout the month of October.
“We’re trying to get people up and moving and aware of their fitness,” said Casey Fant, University Recreation Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness.
There are currently more than 480 students at the U of A competing in the Fitober competition. Students can use their own tracking device to track their miles.
Students can sign up at urec.uark.edu and are allowed to track their previous miles from this month.
