Flu Deaths Rising in Arkansas
The death toll in Arkansas from the flu is continuing to rise. The Arkansas Department of Health confirmed that 35 people have died from the flu since late September. Over 21,000 cases of the flu have been reported and around 60% of cases were in teens and children ages 18 years and younger.

U.S. Measles Outbreak
Over 15 states are seeing confirmed cases of the measles. Arkansas has not seen any reported cases yet. Local school officials say if there were an outbreak of measles, they would advise parents to keep their kids at home and to seek medical attention.
Suspects Arrested in Robberies Near Campus
Fayetteville Police arrested two suspects Friday after they tried to rob several people near campus. The robberies happened near Leverett and Oakland Avenue. Police followed the suspects to the mall where they were later arrested.

Police arrested two people in Fayetteville Sunday after reportedly attacking and robbing a pharmacy owner. Police say Hendrik Hornsveld and a teenager attacked the owner of the Medicap pharmacy on Martin Luther King Blvd on Saturday. Possible Rezoning on MLK
FAYETTEVILLE–The Fayetteville City Council may rezone property near the U of A, to allow construction on a new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market. There is already a plot of undeveloped land on MLK. Residents in favor of rezoning said it would fill a need for a grocery store on the Southside of Fayetteville.
