The U of A will break ground on a new research facility thanks to a generous donation. Tyson Foods is donating $5 million to the U of A’s Division of Agriculture. This gift will go towards the $16.3 million Don Tyson Center. Construction of this new building is expected to begin later this year.

Governor Asa Hutchinson allowed senate bill 202 to pass on Monday. The Intrastate Commerce Improvement Act will forbid cities from passing their own non-discrimination acts. The governor neither signed the bill nor did he veto it. Last year, Fayetteville passed its own non-discrimination act that was later repealed by a public vote.

Police are encouraging students to stay safe after a third alleged rape on campus this semester. It happened over the weekend at Gladson-Ripley hall on campus but the person has chosen to not file charges with the police. However the man could still face action from the University Judiciary System.
