FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – With spring break just around the corner, the University Wellness Club hosted a spring festival for students on campus. The event aimed to provide resources and information to help students enjoy a safe and fun break.
The festival featured booths highlighting local activities around Fayetteville, from outdoor recreation spots to nearby entertainment options. Students also received free resources focused on safety, including information about responsible alcohol use, campus safety tips, and ways to look out for friends while traveling.
Attendees were able to grab snacks and drinks before heading out for their spring break plans, making the event both informative and social. The festival encouraged students to engage with one another while learning practical tips for staying safe during their time off.
Megan McDonald, a member of the Wellness Club, said the event is part of a broader effort to promote student safety and well-being on campus.
“Ultimately, just take care of yourself and if you are with your friends take care of them too,” McDonald said. “Like we are all just helping one another at the end of the day.”
The University Wellness Club regularly hosts events throughout the semester designed to educate students on health, safety, and wellness. Events like the spring festival give students an opportunity to connect with resources they might not otherwise seek out, while also enjoying a chance to socialize with peers before leaving campus for the break.
By combining safety education with community engagement, the festival aims to help students make informed decisions and enjoy their spring break responsibly, creating a culture of care among the campus community.
