FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – Arkansas takes care of business Wednesday night in Bud Walton Arena as the Hogs take down the Aggies 99-84.

It was a slow start for the Hogs as the Aggies quickly jumped out to an 11-2 lead 5 minutes into the game.

Aggies forward Zach Clemence scored his career high 29 points on 79% from the field in the loss.

The last 35 minutes were all Hogs as they outscored the Aggies by 24 points the rest of the way for a relatively stress-free victory in Fayetteville.

Arkansas was on a blistering pace in the second half, scoring 62 points in the second half, the most points by Arkansas against an SEC opponent in regular-season play.

Darius Acuff arguably had his worst shooting half of the season thus far, going 1 for 10 from the field in the first half.

Acuff recovered quickly from that bad start and shot 6 for 9 from the field in the second half, and still ended up with 22 points, his 9th straight game with at least 20 points.

Acuff also had 3 steals in the game, his most in an SEC game this season.

Another star for the Hogs was Billy Richmond, as he was the Hogs’ leading scorer with 23 points.

In Karter Knox’s absence, Richmond has emerged as a true scoring threat with the ability to shoot the 3.

In the last 4 games, Richmond has been averaging 22.3 points per game on 64% from the field and 50% from 3.

Texas A&M is Arkansas’s most common opponent in their history as this win extends the all-time series advantage over Texas A&M 109-62.

Since Texas A&M joined the SEC, the Hogs own an 11-1 home record vs the Aggies.

The win puts head coach John Calipari at 898 career wins and is on track to become the third-fastest and the second youngest head coach to 900.

The Hogs have 3 games left in the regular season at Florida, home against Texas and at Missouri before the SEC tournament.
