today’s events marked the official completion of the upgrades throughout the HPER. The upgrades include an expanded weight and cardio room, improvements to the locker room area, and will make the area more accessible to all students.

University officials say that the new additions are part of a broader effort to enhance student life throughout the campus. Kristin DeAngelo, director of recreation and wellness said, ” This space plays a huge role in supporting our students health, wellness and sense of community.”

Following the ribbon cutting, attendees, got a chance to explore the new additions to the HPER and talk with staff about some of the new plans for the future.

The HPER is now officially open to all students and staff, continuing to serve as the center for the fitness programs, classes, and campus events that razorbacks have come to know and love.
