Students transition from UA Connect to Workday software

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) — The University of Arkansas announced during the 2024 to 2025 academic school year that, students will register for classes through Workday Student for this upcoming Fall 2025.

The registration period for the upcoming school year began this week. The transition from its current UA Connect student information system has not been taken happily by majority of the students on campus.

One student in particular, has had some concerns regarding the transition. Jenna Vela, a junior marketing major here at the University of Arkansas, expressed to me why this switch is frustrating and difficult to navigate.

“I have been using UA Connect to enroll for classes for the past three years and it’s been difficult navigating Workday Student,” said Vela.

Vela, like many other students has felt left in the dark regarding information from the University on how to use Workday Student. Students have complained that they had no clue when or where their registration date would be sent to as well.

“My advisor expressed to me that we would be switching platforms, but that was it. There has been zero guidance from any of the staff members here on campus which is extremely frustrating. Registering for classes is already hard enough due to the competitiveness of enrollment between students,” said Vela.

In order to activate your Workday Student account click here, then login with your UARK student credentials, lastly select the blue app titled “Workday” to login successfully.

After logging in, students can find their registration date by logging into Workday Student and hitting the “Academics Hub”. The tab should then pull up a screen with the date and time in the top right corner. By clicking here, students can scroll through helpful videos to learn how to navigate Workday Student.

Students have been encouraged to schedule advising appointments as soon as possible in order to gather all of the information they may need to successfully register for classes for the upcoming school year.
