Crisis Brewery celebrates anniversary with expansions

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – What started as a midlife crisis turned into something much more meaningful. After some soul searching, Crisis Brewery was born- a place where craft beer, community and a love for good conversation take center stage.

“What people like about Crisis is that it’s this tiny little tap room that feels like a little Irish pub. The inside is super cozy, you can be sitting outside in the middle of the town but it feels like you’re in the middle of the trees in an urban park,” said Liz Slape, owner of Crisis Brewery.

Crisis Brewery has outgrown its current space and is seeking to expand in order to provide more room for the community to come together, offering greater support for their team, and to create new job opportunities.

Crisis submitted plans to the City of Fayetteville for a new building, more parking and an expanded green space. “It’s important to create as much parking as we can given what a major concern it is. We’re adding more than 50 spots and preserving and expanding the best green spaces,” said Slape.

Along with their new expansion plans, Crisis Brewery will be celebrating their seven year anniversary this Saturday, April 5th. The celebration will include community coloring, rice krispy treat birthday beer, a pop-up featuring Arkanstones Jewelry, and a fun beer trivia game with special prizes.

As Crisis Brewery continues to grow and expand, on thin remains clear: the sense of community and connection is at the heart of everything they do. The brewery has always prioritized creating a space where people can come together, share a drink and build long lasting relationships.

“The glue to keeping it all together is people having a sense of connection here. There is a lot of talk about how Covid changed everything and how people don’t gather anymore, but we aren’t seeing that. We are seeing that people are thirsty for that human connection,” said Slape.

With their seven-year anniversary and exciting expansion plans, their focus remains on building a community-driven space where everyone feels welcome. For Crisis, it’s not just about the beer, but about creating a place where relationships are brewed.
