FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The University of Arkansas Police Department has identified the former student arrested in connection to the recent robbery at Yocum Hall. The arrest was made on January 28, and the suspect is 19-year-old Sergio Serna.

UAPD says that Serna was identified through surveillance footage. He used a key fob that he found on campus to gain entry to Yocum Hall. A student reported missing items from her dorm room, and after questioning Serna, he immediately confessed to the crime. The items have now been located.

Assistant Police Chief Matt Mills advises students to lock their cars, lock their rooms, and be aware of their surroundings to make sure they are not victims of crimes like this one.
