FAYETTEVILLE, ARK (UATV) – A student was struck by a car on a crosswalk on Stadium Drive.

University of Arkansas Police Department said a female student was riding a scooter while crossing a crosswalk Tuesday afternoon.

While crossing, she was hit by a car driven by another student.

According to UAPD Assistant Chief Matt Mills, the girl was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was cited with failure to yield.

Police say there is a stop sign before the crosswalk and the driver failed to stop.
