ARLINGTON, TX (UATV) – The hogs play once again this weekend but will have a change of venue as they are traveling to play the Texas A&M Aggies at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Let’s take a look at what the forecast will look like for the game and the drive down to Texas.
The forecast for the weekend in NWA is pictured above. The best day to leave for Dallas will be Thursday, Sept. 26. Friday there will be a 40% chance of rain, but it is not projected to be enough rain to affect the roadways greatly. On Sunday, when students arrive back in Fayetteville, it will be a nice day with a low chance of precipitation.
Above is the GFS radar from Accuweather for midday Friday. The rain on Friday is coming towards Fayetteville, and contrary to popular belief, the light rain we will see Friday isn’t directly from Hurricane Helene, it is from a large low pressure system to the east.
Above is my forecast for the game this weekend in Arlington. Although the weather and temperature will not affect the individuals attending the game, as the venue is indoors, it is important to take the weather into consideration when tailgating. It is going to be hot with highs in the upper 80s, with a low chance of precipitation, so I’m predicting a 100% chance of Hogs by 90.
I hope those going to the game will have fun and have a safe journey to Arlington and back. If you want a more updated forecast check out UATV Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. on Facebook live or Cox 214. WOO PIG SOOIE AND GO HOGS!
