FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The United States Federal Emergency Management Agency has made federal disaster assistance available to Arkansas.
President Joe Biden approved the declaration Nov. 14.
In June, catastrophic tornadoes struck across the state. Counties of Arkansas, Faulkner, Lonoke and Poinsett, were of the most affected.
According to a news release, the funding will be available to state, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis.
The funds will be used for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, straight-line winds and tornadoes
