FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)- Students with Refugees hosted their Advocacy Awareness Day earlier this week.
During this event students learned about advocacy efforts and received applicable skills.
Students with Refugees President, Josie Zakrzewski, says the event saw a really good turnout.
“This year’s event was extremely successful! We had over 100 attendees who were taught advocacy skills that will serve them in whatever passions they have”
Moreover, Zakrzewski says Advocacy Awareness Day is about getting to know others, while still making a positive impact.
“This event is always a great time to connect with our community and find out what matters to them while also advocating for refugees in NWA.”
