Homecoming takes the hill

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – Homecoming festivities are officially underway on the hill.

The week, dedicated to celebrating the University and those who call it home, will take place from Oct. 18 until Oct. 21.

A wide variety of events will happen across the campus; new traditions are expected to arise, while some old traditions will not take place. 

Tomorrow, events include a Homecoming Kick-Off with Head Hogs at  11a.m., followed by the Local Legends event sponsored by SOOIE, where they will have some popular local food, from 3p.m.-5p.m. The day will end with a Senior Walk ribbon cutting for the class of 2021 at 6p.m. 

Events Friday start with another day of Local Legends from 1p.m.-4p.m., then a homecoming party at the Union Mall from 6p.m.-7:30p.m. At 7:30p.m. The Homecoming Pep Rally will start at the Greek Theater, and be followed by a firework show. Lastly, Friday is the NPHC Homecoming Step Show, which will begin at 8:30p.m.

Saturday’s Hog Wild Tailgate will act as the main event for the day’s homecoming festivities. The tailgate will start at 9 a.m. and will end prior to kickoff of the Arkansas Mississippi State game.
