FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)- This week is teacher appreciation week, and the University of Arkansas is celebrating.
The Staff Senate has put together a variety of treats for the faculty.
Kaitlyn Riggin, chair of Special Events in the Staff Senate, says the Senate wants to honor the staff.
“The staff we have on campus are incredible! Staff Senate is here to acknowledge, celebrate, and support all of our staff.”
All throughout this week staff can look forward to free food, discounts on university products, and door prizes. Complimentary tickets to the Razorback Soccer and Volleyball games will also be offered.
Despite all the freebies, this week is more about showing staff gratitude.
“This week is to encourage everyone across campus to show how much our staff are valued and how much of a positive difference they make to our campus community,” said Riggen.
In another show of appreciation, any staff who is commemorating milestone anniversaries will be recognized at the Employee Awards Banquet this week as well.
