International and Global Studies to livestream CHINA Town Hall 2023

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)- The International and Global Studies Program will be live streaming the CHINA Town Hall 2023 program. 

In partnership with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, the live stream is set to take place on Wednesday, October 11th.

The CHINA Town Hall meeting will feature a conversation between U.S. Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, and National Committee on U.S.-China Relations president, Stephen Orlins. 

After the live stream, Tabitha Grace Mallory, CEO of China Ocean Institute and affiliated professor at the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies will be joined by Ka Zeng, U of A director of International and Global Studies, and Kelly Hammond, associate director of International and Global Studies to lead an on-campus discussion.

Zeng says International and Global Studies program is excited for the opportunity to work with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations to put this event on. 

“We hope that this event will offer the campus community an opportunity to discuss this important relationship with leading experts in the field and to better understand the complexities of the interactions between the two largest economies in the world at a time of rising strategic competition between them.”

The live stream will start at 6pm. and last until 7:30pm., and will take place in the Student Success Center, CORD 349.
