FAYETTEVILLE, Ark (UATV) – The Arkansas Union will celebrate its 50th anniversary on September 20th in the Verizon Ballroom. Doors will open to students 11 am to 1 pm.
Commonly referred to as the “living room” of campus, the Arkansas Union has offered an open and inclusive atmosphere for gathering, learning and engaging in the campus community for 50 years. The site has held over 10,000 annual events and reservations since its opening.
The celebration will have food, activities, and special appearances from student leaders and campus celebrities.
Students will learn about the different departments in the union from the different informational tables that will be set up. There will be prizes as well as food catered by Chartwells in the Union Mall. Students also have the opportunity to enjoy a photo booth along with pictures with the Razorback mascots with DJ Derrick DJing in the background.
Finally, the celebration will conclude with Chancellor Robinson playing Arkansas Razorback Gymnast Head Coach Jordyn Wieber in a special game of cornhole.
