For those who registered for Parents Weekend, early check-in has already occurred, but normal check-in will occur tomorrow starting at noon. Once checked in, participants will receive a schedule, and memorabilia.

WHAT’S GOING ON?

Family weekend will begin Friday with a Silent Auction starting at noon and ending at 7:00 p.m. in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge. Families are invited to join Chancellor Robinson on the Arkansas Union Terrace for his “Celebrating Sweet Success” event, praising the record-breaking enrollment numbers for this semester from 2:00 pm-3:30 pm. Family portraits can be taken in the Arkansas Union Living Room free of charge, from 2:00 pm-4:30 pm. The Honors College is also hosting an open house from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm. Lastly, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., UARK Cardinal Nights will be holding their Casino Night in Mullins Library.

On Saturday, families can look forward to a day dedicated to Razorback Football. Public game day shuttles will begin running at noon, three hours before kickoff, and run throughout and after the game. The Tailgate Party will start at 1:00 p.m. in the Union Mall, where families can look forward to food and fun. Lastly, at 3:00 p.m., the Razorbacks will kick off against Kent State.

To round off the weekend, Fulbright, Pomfret, and 1021 dining halls will host a Sunday Brunch from 10:00 a.m.- to 2:00 p.m.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

For Friday, Parent and Family Programs recommends parking in the visitor lot located next to Silas Hunt Hall off Maple Street or in the Stadium Parking Garage off Stadium Drive. These lots are metered parking until 8:00 p.m. The Stadium Garage does need to be vacated by midnight for the game on Saturday.

On Saturday, parents are encouraged to park in the Fayetteville Entertainment District and take shuttles to the game. Sunday, the Garland Avenue Parking Garage will be available free of charge to parents. For shuttle locations visit this interactive map.
