Football player arrested– will be allowed to play against Kent State

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)-  An Arkansas Football player was arrested Friday Morning.

Redshirt senior defensive back Kee’yon Stewart was pulled over by Arkansas State Police Sept. 1st at approximately 9:36 a.m.  He was jailed on charges of reckless driving and speeding. 

According to a citation from Arkansas State Police, Stewart was driving 126 mph on Interstate 49 before he was pulled over.  

The player was booked into Washington County Jail at 10:18 a.m. and was later released on a $385 bond. 

Kevin Trainor, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Public Relations, said that Stewart was suspended from the team last week, but will be available to play in this weekend’s game against Kent State. He will also be required to complete community service.
