FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)- The University of Arkansas is seeing its highest number of students enrolled ever.

This semester there are 32,140 students enrolled, breaking last fall’s total of 30,936. This is the second year in a row that enrollment numbers have topped 30,000.

Enrollment numbers are not the only record the University broke this semester. The freshman class is breaking a record of highest average GPA, at 3.79.

In an email sent out by Chancellor Robinson, he says how the university is “fulfilling [their] land-grant duty of uplifting Arkansas through education as never before.”

This information comes required from the Department of Higher Education through their 11th day of classes “snapshot”.
