FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)–The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s soccer team has started the season 2-0 in front of two nearly sold-out crowds after beating Oregon 4-0 on Thursday.

8 different players have contributed to 10 goals scored by the Razorbacks, and goalie Sierra Cota-Yarde has put up two straight clean sheets.

The excellence of Razorback Soccer has not gone unnoticed by the community, as fans have packed the stands for the first two opening games despite high temperatures in Fayetteville. Students have appreciated the atmosphere the community provides.

“It”s one of the big reasons I came to this school, and I just love being a part of it,” Kelsey Rieman, a student, said.

Razorback Soccer has won three SEC Championships in four years and is looking to continue the stretch this year after coming into the season ranked #8 by the United Soccer Coacher poll.

The Razorbacks travel to South Bend, Indiana to take on the #12 Notre Dame on Sunday, Aug. 27 before returning home for a matchup against Milwaukee Aug. 31.
