FAYETTEVILLE, ARK (UATV)- With the current student enrollment at the University of Arkansas reaching over 30,000 there are a lot of different registered school organizations.

According to the University of Arkansas website there are currently over 350 RSO’s on campus. If you are a registered organization the University allows you to use office and class space, educational classes to help with planning and you can apply for funds to help host more events.

Claudia Angelica is a junior at the University of Arkansas and has recently joined the Mexican American Student Association. She said that going to a PWI is sometimes difficult because you can’t always find someone with the same background as you. With the new RSO she finds it nice to have “a community to share those experiences with.” Angelica also added that is “feels like a small little family, especially since I am far away from home.”

While there are a lot of organization around campus that deal with ethnicity and religion there are some that have to do with your future work plans. Some of these include women in medicine, future womWomen in Medicineen business leaders and Law students. President of the Law club, Ethan Davis, has enjoyed playing a big role in bringing people together.

Another Arkansas student, Jorge Rodriguez is apart of the Panamanian Student Organization and said it feels incredible to do something for his country and share it with other people on campus.

With many organizations around campus and many that keep popping up students have tons of options of joining RSO and meeting new people while also learning new things. Anybody can start one as well, they just have to apply online through the University.
