FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – Experience Fayetteville won the Tourism Organization of the Year Award for the state of Arkansas, and won the Natural State Tourism Development for Art Court.
Experience Fayetteville is a website that keeps up with Fayetteville’s events and shows off the fun things going on around the city. The website helps potential visitors know what Fayetteville has to offer and equips them with the proper knowledge to take advantage of the fun events whenever they intend to visit.
They won the Tourism Organization of the Year Award for their advertising and promotion of Fayetteville. The award goes to the best organization that helps to represent their city and draw visitors and tourists.
The Natural State Tourism Development award went to Experience Fayetteville for their work and display of the ArtCourt on Dickson Street. The website leans into the extensive display of art and creative work across the city.
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Sarah King, went in depth about the jobs and responsibility they carry in representing Fayetteville.
“It’s our job to make sure that potential visitors know what a great place Fayetteville is to visit. We also work with event organizers to bring events to Fayetteville.”
The tourism business brings a lot of revenue to the city and it’s important to that Fayetteville is represented in the correct way.
“Tourism is big business for our state, second only to agriculture,” says King, lamenting the significance of the money that Experience Fayetteville helps to bring in.
The award represents the hard work that Experience Fayetteville does to promote Fayetteville.
