FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The registered student organization, “It’s On Us” is raising awareness on sexual assault.
The RSO held a tabling event outside of the student union. Teal ribbons and flyers were passed out to students as they passed by. Molly Kline, the president of It’s On Us, said the organization holds these events because sexual assault can happen to anyone.
“To prevent an assault from occurring, there must be increased awareness about red flags. Learning the red flags that may lead to an assault can protect so many people and enable others to be active bystanders.”
The event offered the opportunity for students to come out and learn more about the organization. Kline said the tabling was beneficial to both organization leaders and students.
“We had a great turnout and people showed interest in supporting our RSO. Our executive team learned what we can improve on and how to make the next event even better.”
The organization is free and open to all University of Arkansas students who pay the student activities fee. For more information on how to join, students can contact Molly Kline at mjkline@uark.edu.
