FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The Beat Big Blue Blood Drive will occur tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will continue through March 3rd across campus.
University of Arkansas junior Gary Jackson knows how much a blood drive can impact someone’s life. Jackson’s dad received multiple blood transfusions and was able to come home.
“It’s been a hard process and a lot of work, but I am so grateful to be surrounded by such great individuals with a real passion for change,” said Jackson. “This is the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Jackson earned the title of director of physical health for the Associate Student Government here at Arkansas. With Student Body President Lauren Loften, Jackson hopes the blood drive will be the biggest in campus history.
“Donating is hard, but we are excited to make this process fun,” said Jackson.
The Blood Drive will take place at the following locations — Feb. 28 and March 3 in the Union Ballroom and March 1 and 2 in the HPER.
Make sure to eat and drink water before donating. For more information, visit the Red Cross Website.
