Film Fest comes to downtown Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The Fayetteville Film Fest is taking place October 20-22, 2022 in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Film Fest brings in films, filmmakers and an audience from all over the world. 

The fourteenth annual Film Fest continues to advocate for film and filmmakers as they enter the marketplace. The Film Fest is committed to develop relationships with filmmakers and nurture the art of filmmaking while bringing together a community of filmmakers and supporters of cinema. There is a wide range of categories and an experienced staff that will help manage submissions. 

The Fayetteville Film Fest is committed to encouraging and supporting diversity and inclusion. They strongly encourage submissions from underrepresented communities including Black and Indingenous communities, individuals with disabilities and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Fayetteville Film Fest provides filmmakers with an opportunity to network and build community, share their passion and potentially win awards including:

Audience Choice: Best of Fest

Winners may be awarded in the following categories: 

Best Animated Film 

Best Foreign Film

Best Music Video 

Best Virtual Reality Film 

All winners will receive laurels and winners in attendance will receive physical awards. 

The in person screenings and events will take place across Fayetteville in the University of Arkansas Global Campus, Pryor Center and VIP Lounge. Tickets are available to purchase online now. 

As a part of the activities during the weekend of Fayetteville Film Fest, Arkansas residents are encouraged  to participate in the Fayetteville Film Prize. Registration is now open and the deadline to register is Sunday October 16 at 11:59pm. 

The first thirty entrants will be eligible to compete for a $2,000 cash prize that will be used to help execute their film. The winner will have ten months to film and the finished product will be shown during a screening in the following Film Fest.
