FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – University recreation kicked off its annual “Fitober” event October 1.
“Fitober,” is an individual fitness program designed to promote healthy living by providing incentives to remain physically active. The event is free, open to all university students, faculty and staff, and does not require a UREC membership.
Participants of the event are encouraged to log their daily physical activity at fitevent.uark.edu. Participants can create an account using their current University of Arkansas username and password.
Participants who log 600 minutes of physical activity will receive a gift card from Chartwells to be redeemed at different dining locations around campus, and be entered into a drawing for additional prizes.
Those participating sign up for the event individually, but have the option to create a team to encourage one another through the duration of the challenge.
The event ends Oct. 31.
