FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The University of Arkansas initiates the first database to explore work and be available publicly. The database is hosted through Omeka, a platform that allows you to share digital collections while creating online exhibits.
This new database’s main priority is to support the cultural and natural aspects of the Earth’s history, through active research, education, and outreach.
Since the first database launched in the 1870s, the museum holds a variety of more than 7.5 million objects including archeology, history, ethnology, geology, and zoology.
With advanced technology, the new database allows anyone to experience this museum virtually.
Many entries are still working on getting published, and new ones are added each week to give people the opportunity visible to everyone.
