By: Andrew Altman

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV)- The Fayetteville square will be hosting a blood drive tomorrow, September 21st, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m..

The event is sponsored by Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, which is the exclusive provider of blood and plasma to all Northwest Arkansas area hospitals. All donors will receive a free t-shirt and two tickets to the Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, MO. The State of Arkansas experienced a severe blood shortage throughout the summer and look to get more people involved in donating blood. Officials say that for each blood donation, it saves three lives.

In order to keep wait times to a minimum tomorrow, it is recommended to make an appointment online. Donors can also utilize the QuickPass system which is set up to save donors time in line by allowing them to fill out health history questions prior to arriving. The link to the QuickPass system will open on the day of the blood drive.
