FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – Garth Brooks is set to perform the first-ever independently scheduled concert at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Saturday, April 23, at 7 p.m.
The number-one-selling artist will perform in Fayetteville for the first time in seven years and will make history at this return by being the only concert ever to be performed in the stadium.
The event is part of a 30-stadium tour across the United States.
Brooks began the stadium tour in St. Louis, Missouri, March 2019.
He announced during the Missouri concert that portions of select shows will be recorded for a future A&E documentary entitled, “Garth Brooks: The Road I’m On.”
The performance will take place in-the-round style, which means the entire audience will be able to view the stage from a 360-degree perspective. The stage will be set in the center of the stadium.
The university anticipates the concert to simulate a home Razorback football game regarding the number of people attending. The sold-out event will require the same campus parking areas that need to be vacated for Razorback football games to also be vacated before midnight on April 22.
Seventy-thousand tickets were sold during the first 90 minutes of ticket sales.
Brooks has sold more than 157 million records worldwide and has been coined, “the most electrifying, explosive and mesmerizing musical force in North America.”
