ARKANSAS, (UATV – Beau Russell) — A large tornado left a trail of damage near Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sunday night, March 6,2022, according to the National Weather Service in North Little Rock (NWSNLR).
One YouTube commenter who was close to the storm said they were lucky to safely get away.
“The rain and hail made most pull over it was so bad,” said the witness.
The NWSNLR reported damage in multiple counties, including Polk and Craighead.
The majority of calls received reported damage from the tornado between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The Pope County Director of Emergency Management said that only one injury was reported, and two homes were damaged.
Monday, March 7, NWSNLR confirmed an EF-1 hit Sunday evening adding that there is a potential for more severe weather later this week.
