“50 Years of Title IX” panel hosted by Chancellor’s Commission on Women

 

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV – Beau Russell) — The University of Arkansas’ Commission on Women will host a virtual panel discussion on “the 50 years of Title IX.”

Panelists will discuss the impact of Title IX legislation on women’s access to higher education and athletics on Tuesday March 15, 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m via Zoom.

Panelists include:

  • Shanita Pettaway – director of Title IX compliance and Title IX coordinator. 
  • Shannon McFarlin – Title IX deputy coordinator/investigator. 
  • Beverly Lewis – former associate vice chancellor and executive associate athletic director, director of women’s athletics and track and cross country coach. 

The Chancellor’s Commission on Women was founded in 2010, and its function is to review policies and issues to ensure women have the best opportunity to succeed at the University of Arkansas.
