Fayetteville, Ark.(UATV) — On December 12th, Pat Walker Health Center’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will host a study break from finals.
CAPS Play Day helps students practice relaxing techniques during stressful times such as studying for finals at the end of the semester.
Activities scheduled for the event include henna tattoos, yoga, coloring, legos, free food and play dates with dogs from Fayetteville Animal Services. CAPS clinicians will also be available at the event to talk with students.
Zac Brown from the Pat Walker Health Center said CAPS is a great resource for students.
“CAPS is like a health arm for the U or A campus, and we want students to be able to rest. For any students who are looking to start mental health services, we recommend students reach out to us.”
Services at CAPS include individual counseling, group counseling, psychiatry, and emergency services. This semester alone, CAPS has had 3,300 students seek individual counseling.
Mental health appointments can be scheduled on the Pat Walker Health Center website, health.uark.edu.
