FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The Lights of the Ozarks makes its yearly return to the Fayetteville square this week.
That area of the city will be illuminated by over 500,000 lights.
While the displays are the main attraction, food and drinks such as hot cocoa will be available.
The official lighting ceremony is set for the night of Nov. 19, followed by the Lighting Night Parade.
The director of community engagement Chloe Bell said the preparation for the event takes a lot of man power.
“We work closely with Fayetteville parks and recreation,” Bell said. “They spend roughly 2,500 man hours going out there and physically hanging the lights.”
The display is open to the public 5 p.m to 1 a.m. Nov. 19 through Jan. 1.
