The Arkansas Women’s basketball came away with the victory today versus Arkansas Pine-bluff 96-53.
Freshman Elauna Eaton led all Razorbacks scorers with 15 points as the freshman tied 2 other players with 21 minutes of play. Coach Mike Neighbors played 13 players today in the rout. In a season where he has 5 freshmen all competing for minutes, Coach Neighbors was able to play to evaluate the play of his team.
Pine Bluff played scrapper for the majority of the first quarter as they got as close as 3 points when it was 13 to 10. However, the Lady Razorbacks got into a rhythm heading into the second quarter and went on a 12 – 0 run to put the Hogs in front for the rest of the game.
The Hogs held the Lions to 25% percent shooting in another strong defensive outing. The women’s team has played two games in less than 48 hours and won’t have time to sit around as they travel to Hartford, CT to square off against the mighty Connecticut Huskies.
