FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The University of Arkansas’ Alumni Association has determined a primary theme for homecoming that will carry from year to year.

The theme for homecoming is “Calling All Hogs Home”. The Alumni Association said this will allow them to focus on more planning and design aspects, as well as having a more consistent and recognizable homecoming brand.

“I think having one overall theme every year is kind of like a consistency that people can look forward to”, said the President of the Student Alumni Board Peyton Grice. “Picking a theme was one of the hardest things we had to do, and so it takes a lot of pressure off of homecoming team and Alumni Association,” she said.

Since the university is celebrating its 150th anniversary, the tagline for this fall is “Celebrating 150 years on the Hill”. The homecoming events will begin Oct. 10 for a week-long celebration. Events include a kick-off celebration, a food pantry drive, a concert by DJ Derrick and Rachel, alumni awards ceremony, and so much more.

The homecoming parade and pep rally to announce the homecoming king and queen will be Friday, Oct. 15. All students and alumni are invited to join.
