University Recreation hosts annual Fitober challenge

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The University Recreation announces its annual Fitober event for the month of October.

Starting Oct. 1, all students, faculty, and staff who log up to 600 minutes of physical activity will receive a free pair of UREC performance socks and their name will be entered into a drawing for additional prizes.

“It is basically to encourage participants to stay physically active,” Casey Fant, assistant director of fitness wellness, said. “Incentive program to allow them to log their physically activity and try to motivate and stay physically active during the month of October and beyond.”

Students, faculty, and staff can register Oct. 1 online at the fit event’s website on the university’s page using their UARK login. Fitober is free of charge and no UREC membership is required.

Participants can either sign up individually or with a team. To log your points, download the app Power Apps by Microsoft. The event will end on Oct. 31.
