FAYETTEVILLE, Ark (UATV) – Student Media Week starts today and lasts until Friday, this week allows students to learn more about how to get involved with media on campus.

Students can stop by the Sue Walk Burnett Center for Journalism and Student Media, Kimpel 203 from 5 to 7 p.m. each day to ask questions about each individual media team.

Members from Main Hill Strategic Media, Razorback Yearbook, Arkansas Traveler, Hill Magazine, KXUA, and UATV will all be in attendance.

Jasmine Sylvia, Account Manager for Main Hill Media, says she “thinks Student Media Week is a great way for students that are interested in being a part of student media to learn about who we are, what we do and interact with us. I personally wish I had learned about student media way before my junior year and this will greatly help with awareness.”

This event provides students a way to access all university media outlets first hand and gain knowledge on different ways to get involved with writing, editing, shooting, and marketing.

The diverse media outlets on campus allows all types of students different opportunities when it comes to student media.
