Bike Month events throughout May

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) –  In 2016, Mayor Lioneld Jordan declared the month of May as Bike Month. This year Bike Month will be celebrated in many different ways throughout the city of Fayetteville.

2021 Cycling Events in NWA include the Square to Square Bike ride, Women of Oz Group Ride and Clinic, and Lewis and Clark Urban Adventure Ride.

Each event will be put on by a different biking organization or business in the Northwest Arkansas area. These events range from mountain biking, long-distance cycling, and greenway. All ages are encouraged to participate.

Lioneld Jordan said that biking has “direct positive effects on the health and well-being of individuals and the communities in which they live.” Fayetteville has been recognized as a Bike City by the UCI.

Cyclist Brittany Ducharme said she already signed up to join the Women of OZ NWA for their events in May.
