JBGB announces plans to reopen this fall

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – JBGB, the popular brewery and family-friendly venue in Fayetteville, is set to reopen this fall with a new building.

The restaurant originally opened in 2017, becoming a destination for craft brews and live music. The business closed in 2019 with hopes to reopen with a larger patio, more fit for their summer concert series.

With the pandemic putting a stop in their plans, Owners Jody and Myriah Thornton recently announced that construction has finally begun for their new space for live music, and that the restaurant will be renamed “JJ’s Live.” “In our heart, we are still JJ’s”, said Thornton. “It’s still the great atmosphere and live music that got us here.”

JBGB, a location known for its summer outdoor music experience, is now being enclosed to prevent weather-related cancellations and to use the venue beyond the warm months.

Many time attendee of JBGB concerts Hailey Swalve said she is looking forward to attending concerts in this new location. ” I am excited to see more live music than just in the summer,” said Swalve.

With the expanded venue, Thornton said that the restaurant will now be able to have a bigger lineup of local and regional artists year-round.

This new location will include a 16-foot by 12-foot TV for watching sporting events, and other amenities like a Pickleball court and a bowling arena.

Construction on the expanded venue is expected to be done this fall.
