FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) — A broken water pipe in the Walton College of Business building resulted in extensive damage and flooding.
U of A Facilities Management workers were notified yesterday afternoon that a pipe with a sprinkler head had burst and was flooding the Walton building.
The first and second floors of the Walton Building were flooded, including break areas, offices, lounges, and classrooms. The flooding has caused temporary damage to the carpet, walls and furniture.
As of right now there is no information about how this incident will affect in-person classes held in Walton.
U of A Facilities Management workers are working to clean and repair the affected areas and say the broken pipe should be replaced by the end of this week.
