University holds panel outlining Spring COVID-19 plans

By: Sean Rhomberg

Earlier today, the University of Arkansas held a panel discussion to address the planned spring response to COVID-19.

The discussion, hosted by provost Charles Robinson, included the latest on the vaccination roll-out and how the pandemic may impact the upcoming summer semester.

Terry Martin, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs said that planning has already begun.

We will have social distanced classrooms, with masks we think that’s still appropriate. We’re going to try to have more face to face, since we’ve made that decision, things are fluid and changing,” Martin said.

Martin says they will also consider including remote classes during the summer semester.

This panel discussion is a part of a series of discussions scheduled throughout the semester.
