FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) – The 2021 baseball and softball seasons are in clearer focus now with the release of both sports’ regular season schedules.
The Razorback baseball team will host 33 games at Baum-Walker Stadium this season which is set to kick off on Feb. 19.
Arkansas will once again begin the season against a slate of Texas based opponents including Texas Tech, TCU and the Texas Longhorns at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Fans can expect to see the Razorbacks kick off their home schedule Feb. 25 for a four-game series against Southeast Missouri State.
The conference portion of Arkansas’ schedule begins with a three-game home series against the Alabama Crimson Tide before playing a two-game series against the Memphis Tigers. The first road trip against an SEC opponent will be in Starkville against Mississippi State March 26-28.
The month of April will see Auburn come to Fayetteville for a three-game series against the Razorbacks. Other notable home series include Texas A&M, Georgia and a visit from Florida to close out the 2021 regular season May 20-22.
On May 11, the Razorbacks will play Arkansas State for the first time ever in Fayetteville. The contest will also serve as the last of the Hogs’ nonconference schedule.
The 2021 College World Series will begin on June 19 and wrap up on June 29 or 30.
As for the Razorback softball team, head coach Courtney Deifel announced the 2021 season will begin at the ULM Tournament in Monroe, La.
Arkansas softball will play a 24-game SEC schedule in the format of three-game series’ against eight opponents. Four of those series will be played at Bogle Park against Ole Miss, Miss. State, Alabama and Missouri.
The Hogs will host the Razorback Invitational (Feb. 26-28) and the Woo Pig Classic (March 5-7) as parts of their home schedule.
Regionals for the 2021 Women’s College World Series will begin May 21 with selections taking place Sunday, May 16.
